Mission Statement
The mission of Open Door Free Clinic is to provide health care in a caring environment to the uninsured and under-insured population in Southeastern Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
If you are between the ages of 19 and 66 years of age, and need help with basic medical issues, please click here to see a list of services we are able to provide.
Many of our clients have no health insurance while others with insurance plans have deductibles or co-pays which they cannot afford to pay. If you cannot pay for even basic healthcare services please contact us. If you find yourself facing a situation such as these please refer to the rest of this website and visit Open Door Free Clinic. You do not need to be homeless.
Because we are providing services to an increasing number of clients, we need financial support and volunteers from the community. If you are able to help, please click here.
History
Open Door Free Clinic, Inc. was founded in 2006 by several Southeast Milwaukee County faith communities. Sharing a common desire to serve the greater community, they signed a Covenant, or agreement, to formalize their commitment. The faith communities that are part of the Covenant are as follows: Bay View Baptist Church; Bay View United Methodist Church; Christ Church (UCC); Grace Presbyterian Church; Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Islamic Society of Milwaukee; Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (ELCA); Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; St. Augustine Catholic Church; St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; St. Luke's Episcopal Church; St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA); St. Roman Catholic Church; Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church and Unity Lutheran Church (ELCA).
